Meanwhile at the GMIS grounds on Sunday,in a division 2 encounter ChallengersCC came up with an improved batting display to defeat Chairos Tigers by 6 wickets. Winning the toss and batting first, Chairos tigers managed to get up to 172 runs all out in the final over of their innings. Fiskal top scored with 33 runs while Yoko scored 27 runs. Going after a target of 173 runs, the Challengers’ batting strength finally came to the fore as they chased down the target in under 30 0vers, losing only 4 wickets. Dhanasekar, scoring his second half century of the season remained unbeaten on a well-made 62 runs, while the trusted pair of Vimal Mohan and Santhosh Kumar scored 34 runs and an unbeaten 31 runs respectively.
