In another game that took place on Saturday at the Cibubur grounds, Metro Indians, riding on a fine all round performance by Sakthi Narayanan, defeated IndoramaCC by 59 runs. Winning the toss and batting first on a hot steamy day, Metro’s opening batsmen gave them the perfect start when they put on 100 runs for the first wicket. Lead by Prabhu Kaliraj, who rode back to form with an aggressive 78 runs and Sakthi Narayanan (33 runs) Metro ran up a score of 193 runs before being all out. Kiruba Sankar contributed 39 runs. For Indorama, Srikkanth and Sandeep did well with the ball taking 4/26 and 4/45 respectively.

In response, Indorama, was never in the hunt as they did not get the kind of start they needed and kept losing wickets at regular intervals to be all-out for 134 runs, adrift by 59 runs. The victory march was spearheaded by man-of-the-match Sakti Narayanan (3/16 to go with his 33 runs) along with John and Venkatesh who took 2 wickets each. 3 catches and a run-out effort by Kiruba Sankar evidenced the clinical display the Metro players put up to secure a fine victory.
