Covered wickets, effective drainage, resilient men in whites all came together to produce yet another weekend of competitive cricket in the TATA motors JCA League that saw victories for KLN WISCI, the Fez Rebels and TKCC.

On a newly laid mat at the Cibubur Grounds on Sunday, defending champions KLN WISCI annihilated Emerio CC in a division 1 fixture. Batting first, EmerioCC kept losing wickets at regular intervals, as it was all out for a mere 73 runs in the 21st over. Rajneesh Vasudeva was the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped 4 wickets for just 13 runs. Aman Singh and Deepak Singh chipped in with 2/14 and 2/16 respectively.

WISCI then got off to a start unfamiliar to them when they lost their top two batsmen without a run on the board. Viraj Bhammar and Rajeev Rajeswaran, both of whom feature amongst the top 5 batsmen in the league this season, were both back in the pavilion without hurting the scorers. Skipper William Noronha (34*) and Bob Plath (23*) then ensured there was no further drama as they knocked off the required runs in the 10th over in an unfinished partnership of 74 runs. For Emerio, David who provided the early breakthrough was the lone wicket taker claiming both wickets conceding just 9 runs.
