Calculators played a role again as SenayanCC defeated WPP IndiaXI by 9 wickets in a rain affected match by virtue of a better run rate, at Cibubur. Put into bat by stand-in skipper Prakash, WPP were kept on a tight leash in the first session. A fine partnership between Vasudevan (73 runs) and Arun Rajain (41 runs) helped balance the second session before SenayanCC came back strongly in the third session to have WPP all out for 182 runs. Shubo Sarkar was the pick of the bowlers with 3/36 while Amar Kapadia and Jibu Chacko took 2 wickets each.

Keeping an eye on the heavens, Senayan started its chase disastrously when it lost its opener in the very first over and a freak injury to its number 3 batsmen meant the score read 1/1. With the required target score at each over being flashed on the score board, Amar Kapadia ( 41*) and Prem Subramanian (51*) ensured they were always ahead of the run rate, as the heavens opened up in the 21st over with the score on 113/1. Being ahead by 10 runs and with no further play possible Senayan were declared winners by 9 wickets.
