The 3rd game saw TKCC Royals facing off against Menara Devils on Sunday. Neeraj Chaddha (25) & Pallav Malhotra (85) got TKCC off to a flying start reaching 83/1 after 10 overs. Sakti & Rakesh Gowda (26no) then partnered with Pallav to take TKCC to the season’s highest score of 194/7 in 20 overs. Menara bowlers, other than Harish Tiwari (3/27) & Sushant (2/23), either bowled too full or too short and fed the opposition with too many hit-me balls, which meant they leaked 75 runs in the Last 6 overs. Chasing 194 was a tough ask and Menara needed an explosive start to remain in the game. Instead, TKCC kept on chipping away with wickets at regular intervals, including a controversial timed out wicket. Only Sushant (36) and Harish Tiwari (26) provided some kind of resistance in an otherwise abject batting performance where Menara Devils could only manage 127/8 in 20 overs, thereby losing the game by 67 runs. Sakti with 3/24 & Aresh with 2/8 were the best bowlers for TKCC Royals.
