Winning the toss and electing to field first, at the GMIS grounds on Sunday, it all seemed good for Indorama when they had the Indonesian lads tottering at 46/4. However a fine counter-attacking innings from Fernando Nando Nato provided the thrust the innings needed. His knock of 82 runs that was laced with 8 cleanly hit sixes and his partnership with Repen (20 runs) that yielded a match-winning 118 runs came in quick time as he sent the bowlers on a leather hunt. The Chairos Tigers eventually were all-out for 179 runs, a score that wouldn’t give most chasing teams sleepless nights. However the Tigers, who have time and again in the past demonstrated their penchant desire to make their opponents earn every run, made scoring difficult again as Indorama reached just 45/2 in 12 overs. Persistent line and length and a disciplined show on the field ensured that they pegged away at the wickets at regular intervals, as Indorama could never wriggle out of the stranglehold to be all out for 132 runs. Spinner Agi took 4 wickets, while Nando, this time with the ball in hand and Juni claimed 2 wickets each. Despite not being at the top of the points table, the Tigers are ensuring that they are a team to watch out for.
Thanks to Diwakar & Mohit from GMIS CC for umpiring the game.
