TKCC Royals extended their winning streak with a comfortable win over Challengers CC in the final T20 game of the weekend. Challengers CC must have rued their decision to bowl first as the TKCC openers Maneesh Tripathi & Ramesh Kalyan got things off to a solid start as they put on a 78 run opening stand. TKCC would have wanted to build on this solid start, but Santosh Kumar struck two crucial blows in a fighting spell and Manickavasagan chipped in with two more wickets and TKCC could only manage 124 runs in their 20 overs.
Mukesh Khetan got rid of the openers early and soon Challengers were 28 for 4 wickets. Vimal Nair & Srinivasan Govindraj fought back with a good partnership but Swaroop Chawan & Maneesh Tripathi took wickets at crucial intervals as Challengers were bowled out 14 runs short.
