Kirubasankar’s continued hot form & Suresh Rangachari’s 3/31 helped Metro Indians beat Challengers CC by 54 runs in a low scoring game

In another division 2 fixture at Cibubur grounds, the Metro Indians defeated Challengers CC by 54 runs. In a low scoring game, the Metro Indians were all out for 157 runs in the 31st over. Kiruba Sankar was his usual consistent self scoring 66 runs while Sakthi Narayanan contributed 18 runs. For the Challengers, Satinder Minhas took 4/24 while Manickavasagan took 2/36.
In response, the Challengers were never in the game as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals to be all-out for a paltry 103 runs. Santhosh Kumar was the lone man standing with an unbeaten 40 runs. Kiruba Shankar, this time with the ball in hand returned with fine figures of 4/12 while Suresh Chidambaram supported with 3/31. Kiruba was declared the “Man of the Match”.
