The other game of the weekend, saw WISCI Wanderers win the JCA T20 Plate after beating Mavecrics Menarians in the Plate finals. WISCI started off steadily as their openers saw off the dangers of some good swing bowling by Harish Tiwari & Faheem Butt. The entry of Kirubasankar, however changed the complexion of the game as he, in the company of skipper Bob Plath, belted 110 runs off the remaining 10 overs to take WISCI to a strong 170 runs in their 20 overs.

In reply, Mavecrics started off disastrously, losing their openers early as Deepak Singh continued his good bowling form. Usman Mohammed & Kartik Kapoor then staged a strong recovery and with Usman clearing the fence at will with some huge sixes, things were looking ominous for WISCI at the half-way stage. The entry of Kirubasankar, however, turned the game on its head as his 4 overs went for only 21 runs. Mavecrics lost wickets trying to force the pace and eventually fell short by 20 runs.
