Rawamangun CC, the debutant Indonesian side, caused a big upset by defeating a full-strength Rebels CC in their T20 game on Sunday. Agi Saptiazi started the bowling very well, getting good shape and bowling good lines and forced the Rebels CC batsmen to take on the bowling from the other end. The Rebels CC top order fell in a hurry with 3 batsmen caught on the fence to some good bowling by Juni Ariyadi and were in dire straits at 26 for 5. The young Irwan Siregar partnered with Rajika Wimalasena to give the Rebels something to bowl at.

The Rebels CC opening bowling was all over the place as conceding 29 extras in a 20 overs game didn’t help their cause. Marten Eddy struck with 2 wickets on the back of a tight spell, but didn’t get any support from the other end as Repen Desnika played a mature knock to guide Rawamangun CC to a huge 7 wicket win, their second in this season.
