In the TATA Motors JCA league games over the weekend, JaguarsCC defeated Metro Indians by 7 wickets to assure themselves of a finish at the top of the table in Division 2. A fine all-round performance with both bat and ball saw them defeat Metro Indians comprehensively. Such was their domination that JaguarsCC romped home, losing just 3 wickets and with over 15 overs to spare. Chasing a modest target of 177 runs at the GMIS grounds on Sunday, the Jaguars started shakily when they lost both their openers cheaply. However a fine partnership between their leading run scorer Dhimanshu Raghuwanshi (67 runs) and new comer Irshad Mahumad Birajdar (78*) that included 10 boundaries and 11 Sixes, put paid to any hopes that Metro might have had of a comeback. Earlier Metro reached a below par score of 176/9 in its full quota of 35 overs, with Kirubashankar being the lone warrior with 70 runs. Arun (20 runs) and Reddy (30 runs) were the other contributors while Sasikumar took 3 wickets with Dhimanshu and Jagdeep taking 2 wickets each.
