WPP India XI took on Emerio CC in the other 35 overs game of the week, played at the Karawaci ground. The Emerio innings was constructed mainly around the knocks by their debutants of the season, Saurabh Sudhir Mehta & Hameer Pratap Singh as they batted sensibly to guide the team to a par score of 174 in their 35 overs game. Kukan & Gaurang Kapadia were WPP’s best bowlers of the day.
Maneesh Dubey kicked off the Emerio bowling with an excellent spell which was then followed by Hameer Pratap Singh’s 4 wicket spell, ensuring that WPP India XI batting never got a foot-hold. The absence of partnerships meant that despite some fight by Gaurav Pathak & Abdul Wasy, WPP India XI never looked in the hunt. Eventually they fell short by 18 runs.
