Govind Sodani led a solid WISCI bowling performance to give them a comfortable win over Metro Indians in a rain-shortened game

The Texmoda JCA league games on Sunday saw three games being played and involved both the division leaders. WISCI Wanderers extended their big lead at the top of Division 1 with a facile win over Metro Indians in their rain-reduced game. The WISCI bowling attack was in top form as they kept chipping away at the Metro Indians batting. Govind Sodani made the early inroads and Deepak Singh & Suhail didn’t let off the pressure at the other end. Vipin Chawla then quickly wrapped up the tail with a 3 wicket haul. A rain interruption meant that the overs were reduced but Metro Indians couldn’t capitalize on this as they were bowled out for just 62 runs.

In reply, last year’s top wicket taker, Sabu Joy, created some excitement with 3 quick wickets but, Naresh Gupta stayed long enough to ensure WISCI went past the target with 6 wickets and 15 overs to spare.
