This weekend saw the bowlers shining as teams fought hard to defend low totals. Garuda Gentlemen, Yadavas Chairos Tigers, Ceylon CC & JCA President’s XI won their respective games in the JCA T20 tournament.
The Indonesian national team, Garuda Gentlemen, continued their dominant, winning form as they comfortably beat Mavecrics Menarians by 57 runs. The openers Muhaddis & Anjar Tadarus put on 50 runs to get the Garudas off to a good start. Good bowling by Mohit Keshwani & Sushant Gambhir pulled things back for the Mavecrics, until a late order assault by Darma Arta ensured the Garudas got to a good score of 149. Openers Mohit & Milind got the Mavecrics also to a good start until the introduction of Frengky Shony & Suda Arsa, who ran through a brittle Mavecrics middle order. Despite some fight by Vishav Sharma, the Mavecrics could only manage 92 runs in their 20 overs, thus losing by 57 runs.
