Rebels CC, who have had a forgettable season so far, would have been over the top when their bowler Mohammad Alfhariz, took 3 early wickets and Ceylon CC were in some bother at the half-way stage. But Mufasil, who bided his time early on, decided to put on a show as his wife & kid cheered him on. He timed the ball magnificently and in the company of Shuhab Hussain belted the Rebels bowling to garner 107 runs in the second half of the innings as Ceylon piled on a huge 177 runs in their 20 overs.
Chasing 178 was always going to be a challenge for the Rebels and good bowling by the entire Ceylon bowling unit led by Lakmal Jayathilaka & Hashmatullah ensured a huge 72 run win for Ceylon. Anwesh Bose & Vivek Elankannan were the only Rebels batsmen to offer some resistance.
