Jaguar CC took on a struggling Menara CC in a 35 overs game on Saturday and were put in to bat on a wet ground. Harish Tiwari struck three times in his first spell to have the Jaguars in a bit of bother early on, but Asghar Ali steadied the ship to bring Jaguars back into the game. His wicket, saw the arrival of Harry Sidhu to the crease, who continued his good form, with yet another breezy knock and at that point it looked like Jaguars would post a 200 plus score. Kartik Kapoor, however had other ideas and his 3 wicket burst ensured, that Jaguars were bowled out for 156.

Jaguar CC’s strength lies in their bowling which has been strengthened this year through the addition of a quality spinner in Praveen Uppal. The Menara CC batting, which has been struggling to hit consistent form, proved no match for the Jaguar bowling, with Jagdeep Singh & Hanan Khalid ripping through the top order and Praveen, spinning out the lower order as Menara collapsed to 72 all out.
