On Saturday, CeylonCC defeated Fez Rebels by 6 wickets in a Division 2 game. Batting first, Fez Rebels were all out for 163 runs, after a fine opening partnership between Cameron Knox (51 runs) and Corbon (42 runs). Dihan Silva (3/26) and Noushad (3/13) lead the effort with the ball as the Rebels lost their last 9 wickets for just 68 runs. Riaz Ur Rahman took 2/22. In reply, led by an opening partnership of 91 runs between Avakash Lohia (42 runs) and Mufasil (45 runs), Ceylon ran away victors as they overhauled the target in only the 27th over losing just 4 wickets. Mark Soffer was impressive with the ball as he took 3/31 but there wasn’t much support from the other end to cause any jitters in the Ceylon dressing room.
