WISCI Wanderers needed to beat Indorama Supergiants to ensure a spot in the Cup Semi-finals line-up and despite the absence of their captain William Noronha, they would have been favorites going in to this game. Indorama lost Kaushik early to a needless run-out, but Vishwajit Tripathi steadied the innings. Suhail Modak, then took 4 wickets for just 11 runs to spark a middle order implosion and Kirubasankar cleaned up the tail as Indorama collapsed from 63 for 3 to 101 all out with 3 overs to spare.

WISCI looked to be cruising towards a comfortable win despite losing Naresh Gupta in the first over as Kirubasankar & Anand Khaira took them to 48 for 1. Sandeep Kukkar then turned the match on its head with 3 quick dismissals, including a run-out to set the cat among the pigeons. Ashish Khaitan then wove his magic taking 4 quick wickets leading to WISCI being bowled out for 97 runs, falling 4 runs short of a win and a place in the Semis.
