Meanwhile, in the Texmoda JCA league, Ceylon CC and WISCI Wanderers scored easy wins in their respective T20 games this Sunday. Emerio CC would have been happy with their decision to bowl first as Maneesh Dubey’s superb opening spell had WISCI in early trouble. A mature, anchoring knock by Aman Singh with good support from Suhail Modak & Muhammad Zahir, ensured a fighting total of 131 runs for WISCI.
Deepak Singh was superb in his opening spell as he choked the Emerio CC scoring rate. Palwinder Singh & Vivek Shetty stitched together a partnership but they just couldn’t get the scoreboard moving and the asking rate had crept up. Needing almost 12 runs an over with 5 overs to go, Emerio CC would have been counting on their master-blaster, Maneesh Dubey to get them home, but the crafty Vipin Chawla had other ideas as he took 3 quick wickets to derail the Emerio CC chase and WISCI ended up winning by 38 runs.
