In the only Division 1 game of the weekend, Metro Indians thrashed Emerio CC by 67 runs in their T20 game. After being put into bat, Ajay Mishra & Prabhukaliraj batted brilliantly to notch up a 90 runs stand for the 1st wicket in just 10 overs. The loss of a few wickets including Ajay retiring hurt, did not hurt Metro Indians much as Kirubasankar upped the ante with a breezy, unbeaten 56 to help Metro post a huge 185 runs in 20 overs.
In reply, Emerio CC kept losing wickets at regular intervals to the incisive bowling of Venkatesh Rajendran & Aditya Khurana. Vivek Shetty tried to put up some resistance, but he didn’t get enough support from the other end and Emerio CC could only manage 118 in their 20 overs.
