In a dramatic twist, Senayan CC managed to claw back from a losing position to tie their game versus TKCC Royals, thus recording the first tied game of this season in the Texmoda JCA league.

Mukesh Khetan’s double strike in his first over itself meant that Senayan CC was off to a shaky start. Viraj Bhammar, who has been searching for form this season, staged a mini-recovery, but succumbed to Rajesh for just 20 runs. It was up to Rakesh Gowda again to anchor one end and build partnerships with Parag & Shaijal. Senayan was looking good to accelerate in the last 5 overs, but the wily Swaroop Chavan bowled superbly at the death, claiming a fiver and bowling out Senayan for a below par 129 runs.

The TKCC top order began the chase well with Subhash, Rajesh & Jimmy Bumb all scoring runs and at the end of 16th over mark, TKCC looked like getting to the target with balls to spare as they needed just 21 runs in 4 overs. Raj Kapadia then bowled a superb 17th over also affecting a run-out to get rid of the well-set Rajesh. The experienced, Ashit followed it up with a superb 19th over, where only 3 runs were scored. Nine runs were needed off the last over and the first 4 balls went for singles. A crucial dot ball followed, which meant that 5 runs were needed for a win off the last ball. Suren could however manage only a Four, leading to a tied result.
