WPP India XI, who are fighting for 3rd place position and a slot in the Champions cup, prevailed over PHM Jaguar CC in a rain effected game at Purwakarta. Bilal Qureshi & Riaz Hyder got Jaguars off to a solid start and they were looking on course for a big total, when a brilliant spell by Amit Tripathi ripped out the top order and ensured PHM Jaguar CC could only manage 161 runs. Bilal then shone with the ball and had WPP India XI in a lot of trouble at 24 for 3. But Pallav Malhotra, then played a captain’s knock to ensure that WPP India XI were ahead of the DL par score by 14 runs when rain caused play to be called off.
