Riding on an aggressive 90 runs by Naresh Gupta, and his match winning century partnership with Pratyush Chaturvedi, GMIS went on to beat Jakarta Barbarians by 4 wickets, on Sunday, at the GMIS grounds, in the TATA Motors JCA League Division 1 encounter.
Being asked to bat first, the Barbarians scored 216/5 in its 35 overs. Ben Burgess remained unbeaten on 103 runs while Jared Seiffert chipped in with 51 runs. Manish Semwal took 4 wickets. In response, GMIS made short work of the target, winning the game in only 30 overs losing 6 wickets, thanks largely to the 113 runs partnership between Naresh Gupta, who scored his 4th half century of the season, and Pratyush (43 runs), which also included an over which saw Naresh plunder 26 runs.
